So you are probably wondering who won the contest, right? Well Dustin J. of Salt Lake City was the winner with 46% of the votes. The slogan to be used which you probably have seen through out the site is “Your Run Starts Here”.

In addition to receiving a cash prize, the UtahRunning.com slogan contest winner will have the opportunity to contribute to this resource serving all Utah running enthusiasts. UtahRunning.com provides unique tools including a comprehensive list of all races in Utah, as well as an expert panel, where doctors, nutritionists, athletes, and coaches share perspectives and answer questions about running.

Interest and enthusiasm for Utah’s running terrain is currently expanding and growing at a rapid rate. Running enthusiasts currently come from all over the world to experience the unique running possibilities in Utah. The state has three unique geological regions, namely The Rocky Mountains, The Colorado Plateau and The Great Basin. Running competitions take place in Moab, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Canyonlands, as well as cities along the Wasatch Mountains, including: Provo, Salt Lake City, Ogden, and Logan. Runners have the ability to take advantage of canyons, valleys, deserts, plains and mountains. At this point, almost every city in Utah hosts its own races, whether it is a small local race, 5K, running race or Utah marathon.

Recently, Runner’s World named Utah’s St. George Marathon one of the top four choices for “Marathons to Build a Vacation Around.” Further, Runner’s World ranked this marathon as one of the “10 Most Scenic and Fastest Marathons” and “Top 20 Marathons in the USA.” This is just one of the many great race opportunities Utah has to offer.

UtahRunning.com seeks to be a centralized destination providing needed information about running to tourists and locals alike. Visit UtahRunning.com at www.utahrunning.com to enter the slogan contest, and to find out more about running in Utah.
